During the fitting process of your new interior you may find that you want to add some more sound deadening in some places where we don't provide a set. Buying the felt we use for our underfelt kits off the roll allows you to trim the material into any shape no matter how odd to be fitted into your classic car!

We have two types of felt on offer for you to buy:

M6 felt- this is made from recycled clothes and textiles. This felt is 5mm thick.Ìý

N20 felt- this is flame retardant and is also made from recycled clothes and textiles. This felt is 10mm thick.

Our rolls of felt are approximately 1.4 metres wide and the quantity is per metre in length.

Developed specifically for their airborne sound deadening properties, these insulation pads can be used throughout restorations and are ideal for sound deadening throughout the car, from the floor pan to the doors. This is a one piece canopy sewn ready to accept the steel stays which slide through the hoops in the lining, similar to the later MKIII onwards Saloon headlinings. These are exclusive to the Riley Elf & Wolseley Hornet models in the fact that the included C-post trim avoided curving around the rear side windows where the rear seat crosses the parcel shelf.Ìý A pair of "C" post panels are included in the kit as well as a piece of material to go under the rear view window. Originally only the Cream Crackle material was used in these cars but other colours are available as listed.Ìý

Minis of this period had a two piece headlining frame with the canopy glued and stapled to them. Cooper and Riley Elf models originally would have had the Cream Crackle material, whereas standard Saloons were available in Light Grey, White and Black. Included in the kit is a pair of C post panels and a piece of material to go under the rear window. This kit does not include the frame and these have become increasing difficult to find so please hold on to your original when removing from the car.

This bonnet felt kit is only suitable for the Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet models due to different shape of the front end to the standard Mini. This strong felt backed PVC material will help with noise reduction. The main bonnet felt pad is supplied bound and quilted and will need to be glued to the bonnet with the supplied high temperature glue. ÌýÌýÌý

These self adhesive Bitumen pads will help reduce noise levels. These pads were put into the original cars in the 1960's and we have been able to get hold of this material to provide a cheap and easy way to reduce vibrations within the car.

Each pad measure 30cm x 19cm (12" x 7.5") each and are manufactured from Bitumen with added mineral fillers and synthetic rubber to form a highly vicoelastic material. Due to the nature of the material these can be quite brittle when cold and may be cracked upon receipt, however as these are warmed they become very flexible and can be moulded into place within the car.
