In the early years of production manufacture was shared between two factories. While mechanically the same, the Austin Seven and Morris Mini used their own trim designs and these designs varied throughout these years until trim became more standardised after 1962. This design was used exclusively in early AustinÌýproduction, and fits seats with the curved tubular rear legs and flat front legs as pictured below. As with all early Mini items there was a lot of changes in the these early production years so if you are unsure we would recommend contacting our sales team for further details.Ìý
Please note that originally seats of this design would have had the matching piping colour, the seats pictured were a special order with a contrasting light grey piping typically used on earlier Austin MinisÌý- if you would like to have with grey piping please contact our sales team
These covers feature 11 welded flute lines on the face,Ìýmade in our Fleck material which we have had painstakingly remanufactured to get as close to the original material as possible. These welded seat covers were normally fitted to earlier vehicles without the wire squab frame assembly for the rear seats - this can help determine which seat covers are more period for your Mini. The back of the seat is made in the contrasting vinyl colour, on Morris produced cars the rear of the seat was produced in the Fleck material.ÌýThis kit is forÌýboth front seat covers.ÌýÌý
